The Local Area
A Nice Walk - 3 Miles:
If you are planning a walk in the area, why not check the weather before you set off. If it looks like rain, then call into The Good Intent, where the only thing that is wet is the beer!

Useful Local Links
Puttenham is one of Surrey’s prettiest and best-kept villages. It is situated just south of the Hog’s Back, and lies between the main trunk roads, the A3 and A31, close to Guildford, Godalming, Aldershot and Farnham, in a nationally designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) known as the ‘Surrey Hills’.

The village is comprised of one long street bordering lovely countryside across Puttenham Common to the south and the North Downs to the North, known in this locale as the ‘Hogs Back’. The area has a full complement of public paths and bridleways and also benefits from both the North Downs Way (a national long distance path) and the Pilgrims Way passing through the village, with Puttenham being recognised as a convenient stopping off point on these popular routes. The village is a mixture of brick, stone, timber and tile-hung buildings focused along the single main street, with a impressive church at the east end of this feature, the Good Intent being located 300 yards west of the church.
